Winter is coming - also on Lesbos. But in the refugee camps, the affected people lack many things to survive the cold weather such as warm clothing and blankets. There is also a lack of necessities such as suitcases and baby carriages.
The current pandemic and the associated border closures or regulatory difficulties with cross-border transport, make the situation even more challenging.
Therefore, we at Simon Hegele would like to support the Private Refugee Aid Lesbos, which is dedicated to providing local people with relief supplies.
Our contribution: We will take over the transport of the relief supplies organized by Private Refugee Aid Lesbos from Karlsruhe to Lesbos.
"Especially the children are suffering. We can't just stand by and watch, we have to show responsibility and act", explains Karim-Oliver Darvich, member of the management board of Simon Hegele.
CEO Stefan Ulrich adds: "Our motto 'Taking logistics one step further ...' encourages us not only to do our best for our customers, but also to support selected social projects by helping with our logistics resources. For us this means holistic logistics services with passion"!
Working quickly, our team will be delivering supplies and equipment next week!
