Simon Hegele strengthens its healthcare sector: New branch and expansion of activities in Europe

The Simon Hegele Group is further developing its healthcare division and realigning it internationally. With the establishment of Simon Hegele Healthcare Solutions EMEA GmbH in mid-June 2026 and the opening of a new branch, the company is expanding its presence in Europe and specifically strengthening its expertise in logistics for medical technology. Maximilian Streit and Heiko Lindenberger will take over the management of the new company.

The new unit will consolidate the group’s European healthcare activities, which have so far focused primarily on mobile imaging systems but are set to expand beyond this in the future. The aim is to integrate services more closely and to support customers end-to-end in future: from transport and installation through to specialised services. At the same time, the new structure lays the foundations for establishing further locations across Europe.

Part of this development is the planned branch in Italy. With its Milan office, the company is moving closer to its customers in Southern Europe and tapping into an important market more directly from within the region. The company was officially registered on 12 June 2026, thereby formally completing the process.

The Forchheim site remains a key hub in this context. Essential services in the healthcare sector will continue to be managed from here, particularly complex logistics solutions and technical services for medical systems. “With the new company and our expansion into Italy, we are systematically developing our healthcare business,” explains the management. “For our customers, this means, above all, shorter distances and concentrated expertise.”
