- Expansion of the existing cooperation and service portfolio
- Assumption of comprehensive workshop activities
- Creation of more than 50 new jobs
The Simon Hegele Group is expanding its logistics services for Siemens Energy AG as of April 1, 2022 and will further take over comprehensive workshop activities. The logistics service provider was already active for the electrical and power engineering manufacturer at their Logistics Center Forchheim. In the future, the expanded portfolio of activities in the steam and gas turbine business will be handled at the Duisburg Logistics Center and at Siemens Energy in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
These extended services include, for example, the return management of rental tools, maintenance and repair activities including mechanical and electrical testing, and far-reaching services in the context of the coordination of the flow of goods.
In order to maintain its high performance with the customer in the expanded business, the logistics service provider Simon Hegele is investing in certifications and the creation of more than 50 new jobs. These include qualified personnel in the fields of industrial mechanics, electrics or locksmithing.
"Handing over supply chain processes to the service provider is a matter of trust”, states Karim-Oliver Darvich, Managing Director of Simon Hegele. "Because in this position, we are responsible for ensuring that the customer's value creation functions flawlessly. We are delighted about Siemens Energy's trust in us, to enter their value chain even more deeply, about the upcoming closer cooperation, and about the joint growth at the Duisburg site."
Siemens Energy is also looking forward to expanding the existing partnership: "With Simon Hegele, we have a competent service provider at our side with whom we have already successfully been working for years. We have now expanded this business relationship in the tool center area, so that together we can continue to provide our products as needed.", Esther Kolter, Project Manager Asset Management Transformation, Siemens Energy emphasizes.Back to overview
