The LogiVisor Award was presented for the first time in 2019 simultaneously with transport logistic. The “Best contract logistics service providers in Germany” were awarded in a total of three categories. The Simon Hegele corporate group received the award for its lifecycle management in the retail industry, using the example of the long-standing and successful cooperation with the customer dm-drogerie markt GmbH & Co. Kg. The concept submitted by Simon Hegele won over a jury of top-class logistics and industry experts.
“This project is one of our reference examples of a long-standing and successful partnership in the field of industrial contract logistics,” says Stefan Ulrich, Managing Partner of Simon Hegele Holding, “and expresses our innovation and value-added thinking; That is why we are particularly pleased with this award.“ The collaboration with the customer dm-drogerie markt started back in 1998 with the simple storage of IT components. Over the next 20 years, the Simon Hegele Group was able to actively support dm's rapid growth. Year after year, the collaboration has been further developed and expanded. Today, Simon Hegele's range of services at dm includes a variety of services related to the infrastructural equipment of more than 2,000 stores, starting with 3D plan & scan services, through procurement services, warehousing, assembling, transportation & insertion up to installation & disassembly as well as the planning and control of roll-outs and technician services. The overall performance is structured like a modular building blocks system and explicitly takes into account the challenges in the trading environment. Ulrich: “It is our aspiration to be an innovative service provider for our customers. That's why we dealt very intensively with the business model at dm and worked with the customer on the optimization of the processes. “Simon Hegele, for example, advanced the digitization of business processes via app and web technology a few years ago. “If you are looking for quick cost savings and constantly risk the stability of your supply chain by moving on after two years, we are wrong,” says Ulrich. “We rely on long-term and stable partnerships in which potential for optimization is identified and raised conjointly; then the benefits for the customer are more sustainable and ultimately greater. We want the customer to be able to concentrate much more intensively on their core activities, which is our goal. “
