Simon Hegele renewed its entire server infrastructure in 2020 and bundled its data centers with a leading global data center operator in Frankfurt/Main at the beginning of 2021. This gives the supply chain service provider access to a comprehensive digital ecosystem and to the world's most important Internet node, while at the same time significantly increasing reliability and performance.

Simon Hegele thus offers its customers and potential partners long-term stability, flexibility and scalability in the digital infrastructure in the hybrid cloud created in this way.

“The modernization of our entire infrastructure and the establishment of the new data center in Frankfurt mark the beginning of a new era for us," said Oliver Urich, CIO at Simon Hegele. “This step now puts us in a position to guarantee the greatest possible availability of IT in an innovative environment, while at the same time ensuring that the data is stored in Germany. This builds trust with our business partners and ultimately strengthens our competitiveness."

Last but not least, by bundling its data centers, Simon Hegele is also participating in the initiative to make its entire data center operations climate-neutral by 2030.
